5 steps to make a good Confession:

1. Examination of conscience: remembering the sins I did.

2. Sorrow of sins: having sorrow or sadness for having displeased God.

3. Purpose of amendment: promise not to sin again.

4. Confess sins to the Priest: tell my sins to the Priest.

5. Do the penance: pray what the Priest told me to do.
